hi, i purchased a Starview 4 box today and have no idea what im doing. i did have NTL/VIRGIN and the cable is still live. i took the cable from the NTL box and used an adapter to plug it into the CABLE IN on the Starview box. connected all to my tv. the box boots up i can go through the channels however every channel has NO SIGNAL written on the screen.... i have checked the signal on the Starview box and both signal strength and signal level are both 0% with the word UNLOCK above it. i have searched numorous threads and cant find any info on what to do. have i done something wrong or is it something ive missed? i have gone into the secret menu and the KEYCODE is on. some help would be much appreciated stu
if you have no signal,then you have no live signal...if theres no signal strength,then you def dont have live feed....unless you've connected cable into wrong input on box...you will not pick up any channels when scanned if you have no live feed...how can you be sure you have a live feed?
Connect the cable from the wall to your TV and do a scan for channels on the TV. You should get BBC,1,2 ITV,1 C4 C5 and Virgin1 on your TV if there is a live feed
