I have office 2007 and for some reason whenever I try to open an older word document by double clicking it it always says that it is an invalid Win32 application. However when I open word first then use the open option when in word it will open them just fine. I have made sure that .doc is associated with microsoft word in program defaults. Why does this happen and how can I fix it? Just a side note when trying to open an older document of any other application, i.e. excel and powerpoint, it will open it just fine.
