Vista 64 bit to XP Pro 32 bit

    I have been gifted with a Gateway P-173XFX, 64 bit Vista Ultimate, 4GB RAM.

    Can I put 32 bit XP Pro on this? I am familiar with older laptops and can understand driver utilities. The following Gateway site offers this BIOS update. It also offers

    So, if this isn't going to work, will Ubuntu work?
