Hi all,

This is my first post so I hope someone can help me. Im going out of my mind!!

I am trying to rip a dvd to vcd I use:
Smartripper
DVD2AVI
Tmpgenc (retail)

I have Encoded loads of mpg's before but for some reason I cant get it right now.
When I encode a .d2v file or Avi and I play the mpg in windows media player at full screen it cuts off the left and right side of the film but you can still see the whole film (most of my films are widescreen pal).When I burn it to cd and play it in a dvd player it just cuts off the left side and leaves a black margin down the right, So the picture looks like it needs moving to the right and it will be ok but I dont know how to do this!! I have tried every combination of settings but with same results!!

I hope someone can help me!!
