ok, I have the Zotac Geforce 8200 motherboard, and a AMD X2 BE-2350 CPU. Which... according to the box, has a Hyper Transit speed of 2000 mhz. But, when I log into the bios, and look at this option "k8 <-> NB HT speed" it has an auto option, a low of 200mhz, and a highest option of 1ghz. Why is that the highest? shouldn't it be 2000?
Another one of those cases where the speed you see in the BIOS is half what it actually is due to the multiplier effect. Nothing to worry about, unless you change it, the HT speed will be correct.
Oh, alright. Thanks for the quick reply. This is the first computer I've actually built, I find all of these settings kinda fascinating. I noticed with the auto settings for RAM, it set it to DDR 400, instead of DDR 800. This has me curious if the Hyper Transit is set lower than it should be as well. Sadly it doesn't say what the "auto settings" for the Hyper Transit are... it should be ok to set it to the full 1ghz, if that's what the CPU is rated at, right?
o.o;; so... I guess I had it at 1600 for a while. *sets it back to auto* Not gonna mess with it for now then. Thank-you for all your help ^^
