is dvdshrink a freeware? if no, is there any freeware that can burn encrypted dvd?

I'm would like to burn a copy of kids dvd which was encrypted. Is there any freeware that can do so? How to go about it?

For burning, use ImgBurn.
Your heading is is there any freeware that can burn encrypted dvd? No. The encryption will be removed by the ripping software of your choice.
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

DVDshrink is free, but depending on the copy protection, it may not be able to decrypt and rip you a copy of the DVD. You'll have better luck using DVDFab HD (also free) to rip with, then as dialysis1 mentioned, Imgburn can be used to burn the video file/s to disk.

Ok.....freeware option:
Rip disk with dvdfab HD Decrypter
Process results with fixvts
Compress with dvd shrink or dvd rebuilder,
Burn with imgburn.

Try using DVD43. It will remove the region protection. Click on the icon before you start shrink. You should have no trouble after that.

Hi,
most regulars at afterdawn do not use dvd43 due to the fact that it interferres with many other programs (freezing, rendering them inoperative). The havoc dvd43 wrecks on the pc is the reason most do not use it, furthermore, dvd43 is exceedingly difficult to completely remove from the OS.

Well, I've never had any trouble with it. Do you know of another program that will remove regions? My son used up all mine watching foreign movies.

Hi,
once the movie is decrypted to the HDD, you can use free dvd from
dvdfab.com to remove the uops (region code) from the movie on the HDD,
free too !

I would have to agree with Bryston on dvd43. It's more trouble (for many people) than it's worth. As you see, there are better programs out there. :)
