I need to put three different subtitles in three different locations on a single movie.

Example 1: regular English in one field, Directors commentary in another, and a second persons comments at different points of the movie. (for close-captioning)

Example 2: French, Japanese, Korean Subtitles, all shown simultaneously (for mixed audiences)

Example 3: English, Thai characters, and Phonetic Thai Romanization (for pronunciation purposes/ language study)

Example 4: multiple people commenting on the movie, with their name before each comment, but with a need to list 3 or more voices at a given time

    ---

I would prefer it if each stream was selectable/ optional, but i don't mind having permanent subtitles, that would be great too

i thought about making a flash movie with optional text layers. and I could also do it in After Effects or Premier, but I feel that would be too time consuming. I would much prefer to simply extract the subtitles, then simply add them to an assembler

In my mind, I am imagining a program that has the ability to maybe convert DVD to MP4, and prior to conversion, you can select the subtitles.

    Example:

Step 1: Import DVD movie file into the program

Step 2: create a Subtitle box, import one of the selected subtitle streams to occupy the box in the location you drag the box to

Step 3: simply create another subtitle box in a different location on the screen, and select another subtitle stream to fill its space,

Step 4: repeat that as many times as you like, until there's no more space left on the screen if u wish

Step 5: Render the new movie, subtitles all in place

Does anyone know of something that can do something similar to that? or any work around to get 3 streams on the screen at the same time? I would even settle for 2 as a last resort...

thanks to all for any helpful info

You can also go with 1 or two permanent subtitles and 1 switchable, if that would make a difference for your needs.
