Playing on all dvd players

i got a samsung dvd-r155 and i cant watch what i record on other dvd players , when i put the disc in the computer it says its empty. are all dvd recorders like this or is it something to do with the setup? thanks

 

Are you finalizing the disk in the recorder?

 

yeah it does it automatically, it works on the dvd recorder im recording with just doesnt work with other dvd players or dvd readers on my comp

 

There is a user manual at this site and on page 66 it shows a procedure for finalizing the disk.
See if it's the same in your manual.
