I got this computer from Dell. Ordered with XP Pro but came with Vista Basic. It has 512 RAM which is way to little for vista. XP runs fine. There is one HD which is set as a RAID server in the BIOS(idk why). When installing XP I didn't have the right driver to install so I disabled the RAID. It is installed and works fine. I have a kinda-sorta dual boot with vista and XP. Vista only boots when RAID is set to on and XP only boots when RAID is set to off. I do not like having to go into the BIOS menu everytime I want to boot the other OS. How could I fix this?

1.) If you paid for XP pro and got vista basic, you got ripped off. See if you can get a partial refund.
2.) If 512mb is not enough for vista (I know it's not even enough for XP) then why do you want to use it?
3.) Getting vista to boot is gonna reuire a lot of work in the BCD; you might be better off just installing it clean.
