Yeah I did say I was only joking , post it on as many site's as possible, it may help clear up matters a little and give the site mod's a break. All I'm interested in, is making sure people know what's going on, and help us out by not shouting and screaming over it.

I'll keep you updated If I hear anything else. I thought today that my box had caught the effects of it, but it turns out my box has just completely, buggered up. What a coincidence.

The post is full of misinformation, e.g the encryption migration is Ireland only and not in the UK. Most of the post is a mix of old posts from an American Sat forum and some "choice" edits from other forums and online wikis.

Better to tell people the facts rather than a "patchwork" post.

 

The problem with this whole thing is with people posting inaccurate information. I know I don't know enough about this to post, but there are people posting who don't know that they don't know enough to post, so they do post and then we don't know who the people that don't know are and whether the people that do know are not posting enough of what they do know, or whether even they know enough to post what they know, or they know better than to post and confuse the people who know that they don't know and are trying to know by reading posts from people who do know and from people who don't know, you know?

You need to tell us your location with all this going on, you should still have a few channels even if you are in the middle of the encryption change.

 

im in dublin. have original(silver) starview and has been great till now, like everyone elses. have flashed it number of times and done same for other boxes so have a bit of cop on. any help appreciated, mite as well use box while waiting for fix

 

just follow the normal setup guides on the site, use the latest firmware from january or you will need to manually enter keys
you will NOT get sports/movies/porn/racing

Hi All - Thanks for the explanation - Nice to know whats going on - Pretty sure if you all stuck your heads together you could take over the world......

But until that day I patiently await the fix for the Nagra 3 problem.....
