I've been tryin to install norton 360 all-in-one security. its been sain "Uninstalling Norton 360 (symantec Corporation)" for at least the last 1 and a half hours. I need help fast before i restart computer. cheers
Remove the disc from the drive and discard. Re-start you pc and go to Symantec's website and get their removal tool. Then run a reg cleaner like Ccleaner and make another re-start. If you indeed purchased the software from Symantec, I would get on the phone and ask questions....if you did not get the files from them, then the results speak for themselves. Either way you could do better than Norton. Try AVG, they have a free version and a pro version. The pro is well worth the bucks. I got mine posted to me for a few dollars more...... and Australia post didn't even break it! (now there's a plus for once) Operating systems and antivirus software, are crucial to do what we want and even how we do it. DO NOT be tempted by "other" files that are easily obtainable these day's, it ain't worth the risk in my opinion. If you have purchased Norton 360 then get their advice on installation problems, and then re-consider after the licence expires, all other options for your internet security needs. Howd you go?
