Can someone please help me. I am unable to burn on 2 different drives. 1 is Sony DRU-500A 2 is HP 1040i (I loaded Lite On firmware to try to fix the problem) I have tried different media and also different ribbon cable(swapped with my HDD)and still it doesn't get past the Writing Lead In stage and I don't see the buffer filling up. Here is the IMGburn output file using my DRU-500A, I get the same result with my other drive. I have tried changing the transfer mode to PIO mode and still nothing.
