I used avi2dvd to make a dvd image. and when i go to burn with igmburn it tells me that there is not enough disk space. the avi2dvd is set to make a disk 4.7GB which is the size disk im useing. The error message is saying that my image size is 2,355,792 sectors((4,601MB) and disk size 2,298,496 sectors(4,489MB). I tried burning with dvd shrink but it skips when I play it. The image size 4601 GB and the disk size 4489GB are both smaller than the actual disk size. I see that the image size 4601GB is bigger that the disk size 4489GB why is this??

The default setting for DVD Shrink is 4464MB (Edit > Preferences) and setting it back to 4300MB might clear up the problem - if the problem is that the disks have poorer quality towards the edge.

Another option is to try a different authoring program for comparison purposes first - like DVD Flick.
It optionally burns the disk using Imgburn.

dvd starts skipping at the begining. is ther anything i can do within avi2dvd to make the file smaller. I really dont understand why the error massage since the file is all ready smaller than the disk size.

The image is too big for the disk.
Run the image through DVD shrink again and shrink it some more.
