I have a Core 2 DUO and a ATI card running DXVA. I believe it is the ATI 2400 I have to check but i am 90% sure. I tried the same file on both HTPC and POPCORN hour and the popcorn hour is better. I have tried multiple file even trying from 720P to 1080P and no matter what they look better on the popcorn hour. I have tried software only playing of all the files and the same result. I have tried zoomplayer , mediaplayer classic HC nothing seems to help. If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

not to worry, same here but with the tvix (same chipset). The picture I get from the Tvix, is far greater than my HTPC. Don't know why, but it is.
