Ok a question

People where warned before Christmas not to buy these boxes that a new form of encryption was on it's way.

I seen people where I work live in denial saying they would find a way around it or some denying it would even happen.

Nagra 3 has been in use for the last 3 and half years and to date is has proven to be a secure system.

In one way I can blame people for taking advantage but now the system is been fixed.

Why are people here being so bitter NTL is not a charity they are investing in Broadband Phone and soon HD they are there to make money.

 

Understood, but a lot of people just have an interest in how to break codes as a hobby nothing else.. it doesnt mean they are watching free tv 24 hours a day.. its just a challenge to some really intelligent people.

Well in the case of Nagra3 people have being trying for the last 3 and a half years.


NTL was using Nagra1 and Nagra2 at the same time.
The Nagra1 streams are being turned off now and the Nagra2 will follow to be replaced by Nagra3.

Nagra1 is a joke of a system.

Nagra2 is a bit more tricky but it can and has been broken.


Nagra3 and make no mistake has so far proven to be 100% secure and has not been broken in the 3 and a half years in has been in operation.

In the near future NTL UPC Ireland will be 100% Nagra3 only.

 

People were always warned that there was a 'new' encryption on the way, the warnings have been getting posted for years.

The people who waited longest to buy a box are the only ones to lose out on this, anyone who got a few months out of them should be happy enough. It was good while it lasted and maybe it will be good again, who knows, if it does it does, if not.... ah well

Might get myself a Kryptview to squeeze the last out of it, just for old times sake!! lol
