help with dr watson

I keep getting a pop up that dr watson has to close or microsoft has to close. sometimes I cant close the pc I have to pull out the plug and replug.I was working in windos movie maker or just trying to trnsfrer one picture from file to file in the desk top or see how many gbs in the computer icon.
this is on my xp2 machine.

Also while trying to convert a vob file in any video converter to wmv I get a converted video that moves as fast as charly chaplin
