I'm thinking of buying the Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKB 500GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive from Newegg, which has a 16 MB cache. My other hard drives have either 2MB or 8 MB caches. Will the larger cache help make windows open faster while I'm surfing? I'm already using 10MB cable broadband and sometimes it stalls and takes time to open on a webpage. I'm emptying my temporary files on exit and defragging weekly. Any help is appreciated.
