Ever since I got my new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium x64, I have had a lot of problems connecting it to my computer with Windows XP Home Edition x86. First with printer sharing issues (solved), then with Windows Media Player sharing problems (not solver HERE), and now Remote Desktop Connection Problems. I have enabled Remote Desktop Connection on both computers and entered the computer name when prompted after selecting Remote Desktop Connection. I just get the message "This computer cannot connect to the Remote Computer." Can someone please help me?

EDIT: From the link below published by Microsoft, I cannot remotely connect to a Windows Vista Home Premium Computer and to Windows XP Home Edition. I can only connect from them to other Windows Operating Systems. Does anyone know a software that will at least allow me to connect from Windows Vista Home Premium x64 to Windows XP Home Edition x86?

AFAIK, You need to upgrade to Pro (XP or Vista) for Remote Desktop.

You'd have to try some third party software like VNC.

Thanks for replying. I actually found TeamViewer to be pretty good. Thanks for the support. I don't know why Microsoft would disable this feature like this.

Why would they dissable VPN for home edition? VNP was designed for use from home!

They do it to sell the more expensive versions of windows to people who have already bought windows!

Ok I figured out my own question but now I have another. I am trying to send files to another computer using the file transfer option. I am trying to send around 88 files that are around 80 mb each in size. It seems like it will only send around 2 gb of info and then shut down. I have read the teamviewer manual and can't figure why this is. Does anyone know if there is a limit on how much data can be transfered per session or is there something going wrong with my Internet connection?
