Not sure if it is a setting problem or a virus. I can not access Internet Explorer by the icon or by the file itself. Nothing happens when I click it. I was able to somehow stumble upon IE through another program but if I close the browser, I'm not sure if I will get it back. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Which version of IE are we talking about and what O/S do you have (xp..vista)?
Where did you download IE from?..was it micro$oft?
What recent program additions or removals have been made?

My initial reaction would be to un-install IE then run a reg cleaner like ccleaner and make a restart. Download IE (if you must) from MS.. install and make yet another restart.
If the same symptoms are still there, then you could possibly have a net nasty residing on your machine. Let's start with the easy stuff first though.

May I suggest FireFox as an alternate browser. It has features and safety that may well eclipse IE. Anyway..let's get you sorted first.

Howd you go with the suggestions above?

    Cheers.
