Hi folks, I've been trying to find info thru the threads for some time on n*l box detection or at least some advice or thoughts you guys might have on whether n*l can actually detect signals back from the n*l digi boxes with the new cards been issued. I have received new n*l card. On the letter it states that after you replace old cards with the new cards and leave for 5/6 hours to update - you must then call n*l to confirm the update. I'm on n*l cable in Dublin. The advice I'm looking for is: Are these cards specific to the actual box, as it states the digital box serial numbers on the letter with the new card attached for that box? Upon confirmation to them, can they detect the actual n*l box that has been updated from some sort of return signal? Any advice greatly appreciated
Anyone any info at all on this??? Would have thought this is relevant to the forum. Have tried about 25 pages @ about 40 threads a page (goggle eyed now)on the forum with no relevant answers at all. Please help! any advice
Yes cable company owned boxes talk back to the company. But they want you to ring them to confirm, or if you don't you may notice that they will ring or text you soon after you have done so.
Thanks Crytpohx for your response. What I need to know further is; If they can detect a wrong box with a new card replaced in it? Or is it only the new card they can detect in any box? Anyone any info on this - calling all the geniuses
