A couple of questions about TMPGenc Author 4

So I finally bought it and started using it the other day.My first question is,why is it that when I preview(I think TMPGenc calls it "simluation"..?)the menu before outputting,it shows everything being kind of green pink and yellow(kind of like I am viewing it through a Predators POV..)?It doesn't affect the menu once outputted.I mean once popped in the DVD player,the menu looks exactly how I wanted it to.
Second question is,how long does Output usually take?I am currently outputting a project that has a running time of somewhere between 48-57 minutes.
I just looked and it showed:
elapsed 01:17:16 56% remaining 00:59:28
It seemed to take less time when I was authoring a 90 minute movie with the trial version....?
