I recently installed a new router (NETGEAR WGR614 Router / FastAccess DSL 3.0 Connection) in my house and all of my roomate's wireless connections are fine on their laptops, however mine is not. I have shut down my computer but that does not fix the problem. The connection works when I plug my computer directly into the router. The computer detects and connects to the wireless network but is local only and I cannot pull up any web pages. What could be causing the problem where everyone else can connect except for me. I am using a Gateway ML6230 with Vista... Thanks!
Hi, I had the same trouble with Vista, it took a lot of patience and troubleshooting to finally get it to connect.
