I just wanted a second opinion on this. I am buying a Macbook on craigslist from a guy and it has a few problems I think I can resolve without too much cost.. One the cd drive is jammed. Two the screen backlight sometimes takes a while to come back on after being in suspend.. He wants $475 for the Macbook. It's got 1gb of ram and 180g hard drive and everything else seems to be fine.. Should I take a chance on this one?
"I think I can resolve without too much cost" If you only think that you can, you probably can't. IMHO, You should figure in worst case in making the decision to repair. That is, new screen/backlight/inverter and new DVD drive. Now is it worth it?
