s-video/tv card on PC to TV

#1 10 Apr 2009 @ 15:07
Hello,

Im having troubles setting up my TV as a second monitor. I connected my TV and PC via a s-video cable into my TV-tuner card. When I go to Intel GMA I am unable to select multiple displays - I get a note saying "two displays must be connected before you can use this feature, please connect another display." I have spent the past 6 hours trying every solution I can find on the internet.

I've reinstalled the TV Tuner card but still no luck. Audio works fine going into the TV so it seems the card is working fine.

Is there something glaringly obvious that im missing, I am completely at a loss what to do. Is it maybe a problem with my graphics driver? As stated before I am using Intel Graphics Media Accelerator for the 945g Chipset Family.

Thank you for reading and any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated

Is there the option to force TV detection etc. normally this would fix that sort of thing but I'm not sure it will be there with Intel graphics.

I could put something funny here but I cant be arsed. Now GO AWAY!

Cheers for the reply.

Nope, theres no "force tv out" option unfortunetly. I hate the driver, theres absolutley no advanced settings at all. In fact there seems to be very little to do at all.

Tried looking in my computers bios settings, but nothing of note to play around with thats worthwhile.

Is there maybe some software out there specifically for S-video? I've been googling like hell with every possible word combination regarding this problem but there seems to be nothing.

By the way my tv-tuner is the SAA7130HL.
