I have a ps2 slim version SCPH 77001 and action replay max in the silver case.I heard there was a way to exploit the ps2 with armax but I cant find a good tutorial with so man different ones out.I wan to play imports and backups on my slim without hardware mods or use of swap magic 3.6.Can anyone point me in the right direction?I dont believe my ps2 is new enough to effect the OS software so there should be a mod out there.I also have ps1 games to use and a memory card as well as a flash drive.

I hope not,I thought it was the 9XXXXXX series that was completely incapable of softmodding. I think mine cuts it close on the slimline cut off but there has to be one way to play imports on a ps2 slim.

Well maybe I'm wrong

If you can then you'll need:

1. Codebreaker - Higher than 8 I think (the yellow one is good)
2. Flash Drive
3. An Exploit (if you need to know how to make one ask)
4. pelican.bin (If you PM me your email I'll send it)

those are to begin with.
Inside codebreaker is a "program thingy" that you activate with pelican.bin on your drive.

First you load the exploit and the .bin file on the root of the flash drive.

Next load up codebreaker and then when it's loaded, put the flash drive in and copy the exploit to the memcard and hit overwrite.

Now when it's done, restart the system with the drive in and let it load and don't hit X or anything to skip the Pelican screens.

You should see the SMS menu.

Once you get this far let me know and I will do my best to explain the rest.
