Dust and Case

I just put in a new fan into my computer and want to insure that its working properly... and i like the blue LED so im keeping my side off
of the case for a bit.

How long is it alright to leave this off before i have to worry about dust?


Or is it alright if i just leave the side of the case off permanently ?

 

You don't even need a case; leave the side off as long as you want.

 

So the amount of dust wont be greater with the side being open?

 

well youll get bigger peices of hair and stuff but i ran my server for 2 years ...kinna nailed to the wall ...lmao just had to take a small paint brush and wipe it off every once and a while but you should always keep build up's of dust off your fans and heatsinks

 

Alright cool, the case will most likely be coming back off.
