How do I get rid of green blurry subs?

    Hey folks,

Ok, I've managed to get subs into my DVD, however on playback they're green, blurry, horrid, and illegible. I'm using a combo of vobedit, txt2sup, and ifoedit. I've used a varieth of ifo codes, which should have removed the horrid green colours -- all I want is white subs!!

This was the link I followed to get subs:

    Please help.

    Use DVDSubEdit
'File' > 'Open Full Domain' select VTS_01_1.VOB.

Click on p (this is the text outline) and select black from the colour table.

Click on e1 (this is the body of the text) and select white from the colour table.

It's possible that the colour table will show all sixteen colours the same shade of green.
In this case, while it's popped up, place the cursor on one of the squares, hold down the 'Shift' key and click the mouse - a new selection appears .
Select the colour you want the square to be (select black).
Do the same for e1 (select white).

When you save the changes, they are made immediately (no undo).
    'File' > 'Save all Modifications'.

Cheers, Attar, you've solved it. I downloaded DVDsubEdit, and it changed my sub's colours.

    Much appreciated info!

Btw, recommend any free prog, which is user-friendly, to now sync my subs? (I've just noticed that the first part of my movie is totally synched. But the latter half ain't.)

The easiest way is getting a good set of subs to begin with.

If I had to go through this, I would convert the main title's VOB files to one mpeg file using VOB2MPG.

Then load the mpeg movie file into Subtitle Workshop.
Next, load the .srt subtitle file.
Play the movie to verify that sync is ok, then find where the sync goes off.
Select everything subsequent to that point and press the 'Move Subtitle' button (or Alt M) and re-time the subs.
Save the new .srt file and author the movie.

Since the MPEG file is compliant, I would load that and the new subs into DVD Flick and get a new DVD.
Note that 'Project Settings > 'Video' > 'Advanced' > 'Copy MPEG-2 Streams' must be set, else the video gets recoded.
