5.1 format from DivX to DVD conversion

    Hi
    If I download a movie from the net and then convert it to DVD using ConvertX to DVD, will I be able to hear it with surround sound features?

    Does the downloaded file contain 5.1 surround?

    Hi, well I am not too sure, it is a movie in AVI format of 702 Meg

    Well you need to know what you have before any conversion takes place so you can adjust the settings in your software. Most likely a file that size will have MP3 2 ch audio which means that there is no surround but you need to check. Try using GSpot.
