I had to reinstall a copy of xp pro on my system today. It gets all the way done, then it does it's final reboot. Reboots, xp pro logo comes up and the screen stays black. At this time its suppost to give you the windows tour thing. I've rebooted a few times and no dice. Cd is taken out already, still blank screen. What do you guys think?
Try booting to safe mode and dissabling the video device. Also, why did you have to reinstall? Were you have an issue before?
its an older computer and i had tons of crap i didnt want on it...so figured id start fresh will try your advise thanks
