I have a couple of mkv files that i have tried to encode using ripbot and the problem is that the original container is 25fps.I ticked ripbot to assume 23.976fps but when i do the avchd comes out with the audio out of sync. Can anyone help me with this issue? What am i doing wrong?
use eac3to to change the audio fps. You'll need to use the command line version (no GUI). Run from Seacrh --> Cmd (vista) or Start Menu --> Run (XP) Here is a link to eac3to's home page. Examples of how to use eac3to are there, along with the download. Here's an example of what your command line might look like. Remember, all of the directories in this example will change with exact locations on your PC. -The first part is eac3to's location on your PC -The second part is the source file's location on your PC -The third part is where you want the new file to go on your PC -The fourth part is the special "switches", this tells eac3to how to process the input/output files.
Do you know if i have to have nero 7 or sonic for this to work. i already have halli media splitter,ffdshow,avisynth or do i need more for eac3to to decode and encode? Also i have nero 9 but i read somewhere that it is not compatible with nero 9.Any help would be really appreciated in this matter. And thanks odin for you initial help.
Nero 7 is the preferred decoder for AC3, however Libav should work fine, it's bundled with eac3to. You should be all set to convert 25fps to 23.976fps.
Hey Odin! I need help with this too. How do you slow down the audio (AC3) using the eac3to? I just tried muxing an MKV video and the audio is way ahead of the video. The video is 25fps and I'm going to change it to 23.976 fps, now how do I sync up the audio with the video. I'm confused on the command line part.
Now that I think about it, Eac3toGUI might have speedup and slowdown as an option. Double check that old GUI, if you need help using it go ahead and ask... just make sure you have eac3to and Eac3toGUI ready and configured. Obviously you'll need to use the slowdown option.
