Sorry to ask.....

I have had XBMC working for afew years without updating it but wanted to update to see whats new etc.....

Went into file manager and on F and E drive I had an XBMC directory one was in the Apps Directory and the other not. I managed to update one and deleted the other (I was trying to make room for more TV progs) but now the xbox wont work so I am guessing that I deleted the wrong one

I have downloaded Auto Installer 4.4 but it wont boot from the CD

Does anyone have any suggestions that will get my xbox working again or at least so I can copy the TV off it before I have to format it

is your xbox cipped or softmodded?
try burning aid to a dvdr as most xbox drives are picky about cetain brands of media.or you could try burning to a cdrw.

 

Thanks, I took your advice and put it on a DVD-R and it booted

no probs.
just use the install main dash option to get your xbox up and running again which im presuming it wouldnt boot to a dash after you deleted some of the files.

 

yeah when it booted the hard drive sounded to be chugging but nothing on screen.

I formatted to make sure that there only 1 install on the hard drive then gotta wait for library to update which took about 7 hours looking at it
