If you have a standalone player that is DivX certified and if the files are compliant, you can simply burn the files as data, as space allows, on the CD or DVD.

If your standalone DVD player needs the files in DVD Movie format (note that an avi file takes up more space on the disk after conversion to DVD format), you can use the likes of DVD Flick to convert the files.

The capacity of a standard blank DVD is two to three hours of running time - if the total running time of all your files is under three hours, fine, else you will have to span them over a number of disks.
