    hi can anyone help me i have 4 computers all set up on my home network what i want to do is limit the access of one of the computers to what files that they can access can this be setup on just one computer it is in the spare room which the kids use as a games room and there are some films/music i donot wish them to be able to access

    wow that was one long sentence...next time try using periods...that makes it easier to understand what you are trying to do.

    on each of your computers you can manually select what files/folders are shared or not. you can also make the files/folders read only or full access.

    open my computer and double click on the C drive. now right click on the folder you want to share. click "sharing and security." click yes i understand the risks, allow sharing. now there should be a box you can select to share that says "share this folder on the network."

    you can do that for all the folders you want to share. if you want to share the entire contents of the drive, you can always right click on the C drive in my computer and select sharing, but if you want to only allow access to certain folders then I would manually select them one by one.
