    Hey peeps,

Just a n00bie question. Basically I want a PC to keep along side my TV. Basically all i want to use it for is mainly storage so i'll need a big HDD. I want to store photos on there that can then be viewed in slideshow etc on TV and store videos from camera etc and also be viewed on the TV. I won't need to record TV or anything like that.

My camera ia HD so i would like to stream from the PC to the TV in HD.

I am just wondering what sorta thing's you'd recommend? Seems a nice easy project then reading some of the posts on here. Any help would be much appreciated

    Thanks

    Tom

i tride the iomega screenplay pro and the quality was great but i didnt care for the interface, it was like working on an old dos computer. i traded for the WD TV HD and the interface was nice but the quality seemed to lack, all of the movies seemed snowy.

i noticed that the add for the WD TV HD states FULL 1080P support, whereas the add for the Iomaga states scalable to 1080P. I have also looked at another add for a different type that states upconverts to 1080P and FULL 1080P.

Is there a difference between all of these (Full 1080P, scalable to 1080P & upconvert to 1080P? or are all of them the same? I am watching in ISO format but plan on changing everything to MPG4H264 format or AKA APPLE TV.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
