I have bought an R4i and im currently using it on a NDS Lite. The cheats do not work at all. My cheat.dat is in the system folder and when i goto the games there is a simple cheat button at the bottom which says CHEAT and has no button assigned to it. When i click "cheat" it just flashes an nothing happens. It also seems the R4i firmware is faulty but i have tried firmware 1.55 and 1.54.

    It is the original R4i.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Darshil

    Hey there Apathy79 ,

Soft resets is very easy. When your in a game press L+R+SELECT+START and the game restarts =)

That just restarts the current game it does not soft reset the R4i. I want to be able to soft reset like I can with every other flash card I've gotten.

Well I am afraid that this is the problem with the R4 cards now, there are now 4 x R4i cards and 15 R4's in total, each with their own software and features, however with them all being called R4 there is a big problem for customers knowing what they are getting.

It does not help you but the message should be avoid R4 and find something else.

I would suggest that if the feature is not mentioned in the website, then it is not available
