help want to buy new av receiver

    i just bought a mitsubishi 73835 and want to buy a av receiver that i can hook up my ps3 and xbox 360 and cablebox via hdmi but cant decide on one i have 1100 to spend and a friend who can get me a discount he recommends the integra 7,9, im also looking at onkyo tx 876 and a pioneer elite sc-07. nay help or advice will be apreciated

    Of the ones you mentioned I'd go with the Onkyo 876. It has one of the best video processors in it. The Integra is basically a more expensive Onkyo. Onkyos are known to run a little hotter than most other brands, so I wouldn't close it in a cabinet. The Onkyos have lots of power, decode the new HD audio formats found on blu ray movies, and in general, give a lot of bang for the buck.

    I have the Onkyo 805, which is a model that's known to run really hot. I have it setup on a tv stand, so it's not closed in. It has plenty of breathing room, and so far, only gets warm.

    the onkyo amps make good foot warmers,yes very happy with mine.
