My computer is always coming up with errors and restarting and running the chkdsk utility. It is a pest as it takes a while to run and fix the errors but when it eventually reboots there is an error showing in the system trat saying that a file is corrupt in the ROOT directory and then when I turn the pc off it restarts and does the same process again

My suggestion is to make a recovery disc or repair disc as soon as possible and run it before your computer quits booting altogether. A lot of people have had this problem. If your running Vista, your Installation disc will have an option to repair or you can google a vista repair disc, it should do the trick.
