hi guys,im softmodding my xbox.im using the action replay with the 8mb memory card..but i cant understand why i cant drag and drop the files into the memory card...im really stuck right now,any help would be greatly appreciated
i dont know,maybe u need more info..i softmodded my 1st xbox about 2yrs ago,my action replay worked fine it still had the linux installer on it but i formatted the card so i could put the sid 4.0 on it now the trouble is i cant drag and drop i did a lot of googling and i thought it was because my computer has vista...but i have an xp too so i tried on that on and the same problem..i know i sound lame but can someone give me some ideas please??again any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks
action replay needs files to be RAR format .. otherwise it doesn't accept them from the pc .. unless you mount the card as a standard usb drive and just copy/paste as you would to any usb stick the last ndure pair were too big to go on the 8mb drive at the same time.. so do one at a time... might be easier to use a modded box like I did to put the saves on the card. if you formatted it in the pc it needs to go back in an xbox which will format it properly.
thanks for your reply..ive been on google more and i found out that when i start A.R.the quick launch logo and the jewel on the main screen wont stay green..(well it does for a quick second)thats why i cant drag and drop...any ideas why??well im gonna look into xbox controller with the usb end i really dont wanna cut the cord on my controller but im dying to softmod.thanks guys!!
that's odd.. must be your mem card format screwed up.. have you tried wiping it with the xbox? If that fails check that your saves really are in RAR format.. yes thats exactly my problem,i guess i was using the wrong words for my search..well i did what they said but it still didnt work whether vista or xp..i tried AR v1.3 1.4 1.5 but nothing...thanks so much for replies too.im gonna try downloading a bundle pack and see what happens thanks again tho...
I have the actual original AR installer disk.. I did rip and upload it a long time ago but that has probably dies by now. I will check if I have the install iso on my pc.. if not I can always rip and upload again. This could be something also to do with xp usb drivers.. but I think it's more to do with the card. If you have a standard xbox memory card see if that works.
well i dont know what the problem is,i dld AR from this site and everything else i get from here works fine...i guess the problems on my end,i lost my disk tho..and i dont have an xbox memory card either..looks like i got some hunting to do,thanks again tho
