I have 2 sata hard drives, 1 has vista home i have been useing for years, and the other has vista ultimate i just installed. Whin i start my computer it automadicly stars with the vista home. I can get into the vista ultmaite threw my computer. I can run the vista ultmaite if i uninstall the vista home hard drive. Does any one know how to set up start up so i can choose witch hard drive i want to start?
depending on the computer/motherboard, pressing f12 at post screen gives you the option to select what drive to boot from.
it sounds to me like you just need to change the way your drives are connected. If you look at your mobo, the SATA ports should be numbered. Most mobos by default boot from the HD on SATA port #1. My guess is that your vista home drive is on port 1, and your vista ultimate drive is on port 2 or other. swap the drive cables so that the drive that you want to boot from is connected to SATA Port 1. Now your mobo should boot from that drive.
I have tryed booting from start, and i can get a boot menu with both of my hard drives. But whin i try the Vista ultmaite hard drive it gets stuck on a screan. Ill try changeing the connection to the motherbord thanks.
