When I capture the video that I've recorded via the USB port it seems to loose alot in the transfer. Is it worth it to spend the extra cash for the Fire wire? Will it improve the quality?

    Thanks

Yes, the quality is mutch better..You get a great quality..USB is crap, its ok just for sending pictures on your computer or when you use your cam as a web camera. Buy the firewire. I got it for my Sony TRV33 and it works more than great. I can record my movies on my PC, work with them, write them on a DVD or CD-R..Great stuff..Try it..A Firewire adapter is cheap..and it works great. Resolution is more than 640x480..
    Sorry about the bad english.
    Buy the firewire..you wont regret.
