    Is there any chance of recovering photos from a harddrive that has been formatted?

    Formating destroys all previous data.

    well...... I haven't tried this but ...... usually once a hard drive is formated all data is lost. BUT..... RescuePro Delux from Sandisk can recover erased or formated data from cards.... why not try it with hard drives? Don't know if it will or won't work but it does with my CF cards that have been formated by Windows on my computer! I can recover my pictures using this program. good luck.
