turn off MacBook pro monitor while viewing through hd tv

    I have a macbook pro that I watch movies through on my HDTV. Right now I have the monitors mirrored so I can see all my icon and stuff on my tv. Is there a way to turn off the screen and keyboard lights and just play everything through the tv. Sorry, I'm a pc guy normally
