It worked great for about 3 months then suddenly stopped working. I uninstalled the sound driver, rebooted- installed driver then worked for about a year.

Now I'm stuck with no sound again even after trying the uninstall-reboot. What do i need to do to get my sound back? I've gone to the Realtec website and installed the latest driver R2.22 and that didn't help.

*I did get sound back until I pulled the speaker plug out of the rear PC port to test the front port which worked as well then went back to rear and lost sound from both. I've also tested using other speakers and headphones which came up negative.

-Thanks in advance and sound is enabled in bios

    I would try this:
    1.) Uninstall driver, shut down
2.) Disconnect from audio ports from mainboard
3.) Start system with no audio connected
    4.) Install driver
5.) Plug in speakers while system is running.
6.) Goto control panel-audio and do speaker configuration.
