hard drives

    how many hard drives can a pc have because i have a 160gig and a 320 gig that are ide and i still have two sata connectors on my motherboard.

    as many as bios can handle. how many ide drives both hd & rom do you have?

    It depends on your power supply, I have had up to 5 in my mediapc. If you run out of IDE/SATA plugs, you can install PCI IDE/SATA expansion boards that will let you connect more drives. All my computers have 2 or 3 drives plus the dvdrom.

    In your computer you can add 2 more SATA drives with no problem, the cpu will easily handle writing/reading to 4 drives with no problem. Your only other consideration is to make sure you have adequate cooling on the drives.
