I have recently taken my ipod classic 80G into the apple store to help me with my corrupted ipod. They wiped everything clean and told me to take it home and format it with my windows XP. I put in the CD it came with and started the format. it is now currently connected with the arrows circling on the screen. The format screen says "your ipod is being reset. Please wait..." I would just like to know how long the process should take?
What CD came with what? Both XP and maybe your ipod came with CDs. Neither are needed to format your ipod using XP. Something is very wrong with this picture! I suspect your ipod is hosed'. I am not so sure you got great advice from the ipod store or you didn't do it correctly. What EXACTLY did you do? How old is you ipod?
