    Hi folks!

I have been using Firefox for a couple of mos and in the last 2 weeks it seems to crash for no reason. Doesn't matter what I am doing or looking at, it just seems to want to crash.

I can re-open it and continue with what I was doing but a real pain in the behind!

What is causing this? I have checked for updates, ran virus scan, defrag my harddrive and it still keeps occuring!

Just a guess here but have you tried uninstalling firefox then reinstalling it then make sure things like flash, java, adobe reader are all up to date. Sometimes your plugins can be the issue.

Plug Ins are almost ALWAYS the problem. For me anyway. 90% of the time its because the plug ins do not properly execute memory dumps and therefore they start to take up WAYYYY too much memory. Whenever I start to have problems with Firefox I make a list of my plugins, uninstall everything, and then re-install and its all gravy from there.

Just letting you know what works for me, not the case for everyone. But very common
