VLC Players Freezes

VLC player freezes when i watch a .avi in fullscreen. it plays then 2 seconds later blocks then freeze. sound continues. it works fine before i go into full screen.other .avi's work fine, however this isnt the only one that freezes

 

it could be a corrupted or incomplete file you are trying to play

 

try a different player to make sure, and if its the same case then yes i also believe that the file is corrupted.
if no, then pause for a while, then play again.
