I don't understand what you're asking. Can't you just connect the tape machine to the DVD player and record it?
that's exactly what I thought.. run the s-video out on the nvidia or ati graphics card and record it.. *sucky noise* simples XD of course.. betamax video is for 1 totally obsolete.. and for 2 probably better quality than any digital format though you won't be able to tell at 640x480 (tv resolution) *grins*
