    Hello,

Have a small form factor HP dc7700 that I'd like to put a non low profile graphics card in if possible. I've seen risers in these pc's before but I can't remember what the cards were that were plugged into the riser, anyway my question is can I get a riser that will allow me to plug an average sized 8600gt for instance into this pc (pci-e x16)?

I'm not sure if this would be the type of thing or not:

    http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ca/e...4748-12134748-12134752-12134752-78081085.html

That one is for a USDT (ultra slim desktop) version of the dc7700 so I don't know if it would just not fit a SFF or if it would provide even more space?

OR, if anyone knows anywhere (preferably UK) where I can just order an 8600GT low profile card (with the ddr3 would be nice) that would be appreciated, although I've searched quite a lot and can't find any.

    Thanks.

Riser cards are typically custom-made for the motherboard. If your PC was not designed for use with a riser card you most likely won't be able to use one.

According to the spc sheet, that model does have a riser card.

Note: with riser card option, express x1 and x16 slots are not supported.

Go to HP. That is the one and only place that you will get the right part that works. The correct part number should be referenced in your user manual under "accessories".
