hard drive stuck

    my hard drive is stuck in recovery mode and i don't want to reinstall the os because i have a lot of files that i would like to keep. please help if possible.

    watch your language dude, no profanity is permitted here at aD.

    boot your system in safe mode (F8) and backup all your personal data first to an external hard drive or CDRs. then reboot and let windows run recovery. if it crashes or deletes data you won't have to worry about it.
